Hot Dipped Galvanized (HDG) Hardware

Port Lumber Corp. carries hot dipped galvanized hardware. Hot dipped galvanization is a process in which metal is immersed in molten zinc. During galvanization, the molten zinc reacts with the iron in the steel to form a series of zinc/iron alloy layers. The hardness of these inner layers provides exceptional protection against coating damage through abrasion, damage caused by rough handling during transportation and at the job site as well during its service life.

Hot dipped galvanized products require very little to no maintenance, providing a vastly increased lifespan, as the result of superior corrosion protection. Environments in which galvanized steel and iron are commonly used include indoor and outdoor atmospheres, the storage of hundreds of different chemicals, in fresh water, sea water, soils, and/or concrete. Port Lumber Corp. also has 316 grade stainless steel deck screws.

Port Lumber Corp. stocks a large variety of hot dipped galvanized hardware. If we do not stock what you are looking for, just call and we can special order it for you.
